The key to this long 605-yard uphill par 5 is simply to keep your tee shot in play. The drive requires a shot over a natural desert wash to a relatively wide landing area protected on the right by bunkers. A magnificent rocky wash separates the first and second landing areas, but is far enough away, allowing the golfers to lay up anywhere from 100 to 200 yards from the green. The truly heroic golfer may choose to try to reach the greenside approach fairway over the wash flanking the green. This would leave an easy approach shot to the green, which is situated on a left to right axis and is protected on the right by a deep gaping bunkers.
