Trevor Finton was born in a small town in California and moved to the Valley of the Sun in 1994, where he grew up in the west valley.  After graduating from high school he attended Arizona State, completing the University’s Professional Golf Management program.  While attending ASU, he started working for Troon Golf at Estrella.  After spending a year at Estrella he moved to San Antonio, Texas to work at the Westin La Cantera Resort and Golf Club to finish his last internship.  Upon returning to Arizona, he obtained a position at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa and graduated from ASU.  In 2005, he returned to Golf Club of Estrella as the Associate Golf Professional and was promoted to Head Golf Professional in October 2006.  Trevor currently lives in the west valley with his wife of three years and is expecting a baby boy this summer. 

Janet Rung has been with Troon Golf at the Golf Club of Estrella for two years in the Food & Beverage Department.  She is a native of Lancaster, Ohio and has lived in more than 8 states throughout the U.S. since her teenage years – Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Wisconsin, California, Minnesota, Florida, Colorado, and Arizona. 

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in health management from Florida International University in 1994.  Before coming to Arizona, Janet began her work career in Denver, Colorado as an owner and general manager of a marble and granite fabrication company.

Eight years later she became a resident of Estrella along with Steve, her husband, and her two children, Cameron and Brynley.

Symantha was born in Sandy, Utah and soon moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her family. She grew up in the Valley of the Sun and attended Apollo high school where she played on the men’s golf team and graduated in 2002. She attended Brigham Young University and played golf on the Ladies Golf Team for 2 1/2 years. She found the cold Utah weather was not to her liking and moved back to warm, sunny Phoenix in 2005. After holding several positions in the service industry, Symantha joined the team at Golf Club of Estrella in 2007 and was promoted to Group Sales Manager and Tournament Coordinator in February 2008.

June has been a resident of Estrella for 10 years and has worked at the golf club since the beginning.  She was born and raised in England and, having worked for a Dallas, Texas company in London, and loving the U.S. from her very first visit, it was an easy decision to move here.  June lived in Tucson for 17 years and loves Arizona and, believe it or not, the heat!  She is celebrating her 25^th wedding anniversary with husband, Gerry, this year and their son, Nick, is currently attending ASU.

Paulet is a native of East Otto, NY.  Paulet knew from an early age she enjoyed accounting.  Paulet moved to California to attend college.  It was in Cerritos, CA, where Paulet met her husband, Fred.  During the ‘80’s she and Fred owned a plastic model import company.  In the mid 90’s Paulet started with daughter Barbara their own Bookkeeping Service.  Then in 2001 Fred and Paulet decided to retire in Arizona and moved to Estrella. Fred and Paulet have 4 children, 16 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.  Paulet joined the golf club in March 2006.

Kristie was thrilled when her husband, Gerald, had an opportunity to locate to Arizona with his job.  So in 1999, together with their two young sons, Cody and Tanner, they moved to Estrella from Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  Kristie has an extensive background in retail, including Windsor Fashions and Nordstrom, as well as designing and manufacturing her own clothing line.  Once settled into their new home, Kristie knew that a position at the golf club would be an exciting challenge and opportunity to utilize her vast retail experience.
